I've just turned out my compost bin and found what looks like a huge
seed. The inside has rotted away but the outside is intact. I've got
no idea what it could be. It's about 4 inches long, 2 inches wide and
1 cm thick, shaped like a huge pumpkin seed. ( picture linked ).

Any ideas what it is?

How could you have forgotten eating the mango that produced that?

My wife gave the mango to the kids. I never saw the pip. Although she didn't
recognise it either. I guess it was covered in pulp and so looked completely
different when it went in the compost.
