My greenhouse is on a north facing slope with trees on the south side
and I grow peppers quite successfully. The greenhouse doesn't get much
direct light until summer when it gets a lot of light in the
afternoon. So unless you have a fence on all sides it should be
possible.

Thanks JB, that's what I was hoping to hear. The greenhouse has a fence on
the south side ( not great planning I know ) but in summer the sun gets to
most of the floor so I'm hoping they'll do OK. If I ever feel particularly
energetic I'll swap it with the shed which is much sunnier but that's a job
I'd prefer to avoid.
