Lawnmower - Hayter Envoy?
Hi, not a usual in this group, so thanks for any advice. I have checked
Google.
Like many posts to follow I'm sure, I'm after a new lawnmower for this
season. The previous Qualcast electric rotary mower - approx. 14in cut/1500
watt motor - died with a burnt out motor last year. I have quite a lot of
lawn, but it is sectioned into seperate pieces with paths and flower border
edges and a bit bumpy in places. The top lawn has some quite coarse and
tough grass that seems to retain the wet and can be difficult to cut if it
isn't done very regularly.
The Quallcast was about the right size but it seemed to struggle at the top
end of the lawn. I liked the rear roller. I was considering a petrol
mower. Although a little bigger they seem to have more power but anything
after the £100-130 ones in stores with a 40cm cut and they are too big for
my lawn and storage. None of them at that price and size seem to have a
roller and so won't cut around my flower borders either. Looking at the
electric rotaries, I noticed the Hayter Envoy at around £160. Hayter have
an excellent reputation, but at the end of the day is there anything that
makes this any better than any brand rotary of the same power. This has a
1400watt induction motor, looks well built. any recommendations or
comments? Thanks for any help.
