Does anyone know if Felco do secateurs suitable for relatively small
hands or with an adjustable span of grip. I tried a couple (numbers 2
and 11) today at a local gc but when they were in the open position I
had difficulty both spanning both handles with my hand. I asked this
question at the gc but to no avail.

Yes.. numbers 6 (smaller) or 7 (rotating handle, reduces strain) may be
suitable. A garden centre should be able to order either of these (and
spares) if they are a approved stockist, though service in some does
vary:-). Otherwise call Burton McCall the UK distributors for Felco.

I use the #7 but my wife can not, the handels too big so I would say its the
#6 as indicated above, they say its for fine pruning, flower arranging and
the smaller hand! price £24.20 from LBS
