Re reading your original post I can see what you have done wrong.

of sprouting" then you said "they have failed to respond to my email"
That's it you should talk to them not send them Emails, I doubt you left
them a computer when you planted them.
They may have caught a virus from the e-mails.
Or Bob may have planted shallnots in error.
