Hi to everyone, I am new on here so hope I have asked this question in
the right place.?
I am doing some gardeing for a friend who has a Yucca...about 7-8 foot
tall. I t has a center "stem" plus a few baby ones coming from it lower
down..but not the bottom..
My freind whould like me to cut it in half and replant it....I jhave no
knowledge of Yucca's at all... Can I cut the middle bigger one out and
replant that.? Leaving the lower newer babies where they are.?
Many thanks for you help in advance.

Sounds more like a Cordyline australis than a Yucca.
Most Yucca I've seen growing outside in the UK are not that tall, make lots
of side growths so they actually spread out and they flower beautifully with
tall spikes of large cream flowers.
The Cordyline grows more like a palm, flowers like a palm, and is known as a
Cabbage Palm (although it isn't a palm).
